A Brief Aside

We got snowed on good yesterday. Schools are opening late, cars needed clearing off, and the landscape is obscured by a blanket of white.

It got me thinking about how I'm operating this journal, telling my stories without the benefit of names, and only using nicknames. I guess it's just a habit. Makes it easier to put things out here and be less concerned about one of the principals finding the stories and getting confrontational. One of the people of whom I've spoken does have a journal here as well. She'll find out I'm here sooner or later. I don't need to make it too easy for her.

I do seem to enjoy being an almost textbook Piscean, and high on the list is being vague. To quote Yahoo's page on Pisces...

"Pisceans alternate between reality and non-reality in keeping with their introspective natures; their voyage between consciousness and an unconscious dream state says much about their intuitive, almost psychic natures. For this reason, Pisceans can be hard to pin down, prompting some to call them the chameleons of the Zodiac. The Fish are happy to be considered hazy, since there's a certain sense of safety in that self-proclaimed netherworld."

Yeah, that's me. Like I said in earlier notes, I've got an adaptive personality. I've also got an uncanny ability to "blend-with-crowd". Sometimes I do it before I even realize I am. That's where the difference facets of me come from.

But that's me. I'm mostly comfortable with me now. Sometimes not. Sometimes I rail against myself. The thing is, I even change under my own scrutiny. I could've inspired Mr. Heidelberg.

And that is half the reason I've got this journal going. A way to help me track not only events that occurred, but also better remember how I felt about them at the time.

The other half ... well, I'd like to think some of these are reasonably interesting stories. =) If you've found your way here, congratulations and welcome. Feel free to voice any comments or opinions or whatnot. I've got plenty myself, and could certainly use the input.
