I need to rediscover that "Baby Baby" song that sounds in my head like it was probably Amy Grant but I can't be sure. A good week off from work is over, and it's back to the slog for me. Almost makes me wish I could do what niyamas once suggested and take a year dead for life purposes.

J is just amazing. Last night is the first time I've seen her reaching out and playing with a toy. There's this purple/white stuffed zebra that has a wind-up in it that plays a lullaby. Our daughter got in one of those moods and after all the usual suspects we put her down to get ourselves a small break even if she was still screaming. A half-hour later, she's swinging her arms back and forth rubbing her hand across the plush fabric of the zebra's "skin". Of course, she tends to keep her fingers tucked in and has little coordination. Combined with the continual kicking that shows her excitement like the swaying tail of a cat, it sometimes looked like she was knocking the zebra for a loop. sapphireblue watched this and said, "Down goes Frasier." Therefore, the zebra is now known as Frasier.

Blew off some steam in a few ways, too. Walking the baby around the neighborhood in the evenings always quiets her down and lets us meet people we didn't often see. I finished .hack//GU Part 1 and started in on Disgaea 2. That game must be documented later, it is terribly addicting. Tonight it is baby movie night at the Pookah household. But first, kabobs.

which baby movies?
"baby geniuses"?
of course, at this stage, even "speed racer" reruns would gain applause.

Actually it was nothing so interesting as that. "Secrets to a Happy Baby" or something like that.

PS: Speed Racer maybe, Look Who's Talking Too certainly not.

*Warm and fuzzy*
I'm so glad the zebra is a hit! And it is so awesome that she is started to do all those little things that show she is growing and learning. What fun! *SMILE*

Why do you keed?

They options are limitless! We could go with the obvious halfling team, even better if we sculpt little diapers on them. Or we could do the... okay, so the options aren't limitless. At least I can't think of any more at the moment.

But it would be terribly cute though. We could easily sew some symbols to make the colored cubes into block dice. But I would absolutely hate losing to the R dice luck, especially if it is to a month old baby R.
