While a have a moment free to type, I will.

I doubt I could possibly have gotten enough sleep to prepare for what life is like now. I wouldn't say my daycycle is wrecked, but I'm finding the recuperative properties of drowsing off not nearly as fulfilling as a full night's sleep. sapphireblue has it even worse than me, even though we split nights. I mean, I don't get to nap at work, but she has helped look out for me on my early mornings.

Worse yet I realize that birthdays and promises and things are continuing to slide away from me. Time flies and all that, especially when you're primarily housebound for the time being. Gotta fix that.

It'll get better!
I swear! The first 8 weeks are the "trial by fire" initiation to parenthood. But it does get better, I promise. Now that you've got the formula/breastmilk decision made and she's eating more her sleep cycle will even out. E's didn't until she was nearly 8 weeks old, I had at least two nights where I was so tired I would ask S to hold E while I got up THEN realize she was still in her bassinet. I could've sworn I was holding her, it was rough.

If it gets really bad, I imagine Mama & Papa Pookah will be more than willing to babysit for a few hours while you and D nap. Don't be afraid to call in the reserves to get a good night's sleep!
