I had time on the train to think, and I thinking about indexing. I'm reading a couple of manga series and I've got no idea when the next books are being released state-side, and just scanning the B. Dalton shelf is just not enough. I was thinking that I could make some kind of small database-driven website. I could just add the books I pick up, as well as other data about the series (like how many books there are or a related URL). Then when I get the urge to browse I can just scan the list, hit some links and see if there's anything new out or coming soon.

Theoretically, I could use the same thing for my games and my DVDs and stuff. It's an okay idea, as long as I know I'm going to use it. As long as I keep it easy to enter things in (instead of tedious) it might not be that bad.

So I'll put this idea on the list, though I think my next actual project is going to be a backpack. I want it to be. *crosses fingers*

PS: Picked up 2 used PS2 games: Romancing Saga and Devil Kings. They look like fun, and should be good replacements for Radiata Stories and Drakengard, once I finish them. Huzzah for cheap thrills.

my backpacks, got jets
Well, not really, but we should work out some ideas for this backpack tomorrow at dinner. A picture of what you are looking for would be a big help.

Also, I'll be inheriting my dad's router in a couple weeks, which should give us more options for details. That dremel/router attachment didn't really do the job, maybe having an actual router will make things move a little smoother.

I'm still looking for a good phone for you. It's time for some good old fashioned antiquing! Squee!
