The clouds are moving by very quickly here in DC. The rain has come and gone and returned. It's already fairly dark. I do have hot cocoa to keep me company.

Work is mostly done for the day. I'm in a bit of a holding pattern, but will probably split early with stuff so I can work on typing up something on the train on the way home. There's really nothing preventing me from doing the mobile office thing.

Today was Lee Jeans' Denim Day, a fundraiser for breast cancer research. Make a donation, get a pink ribbon button, get to wear blue jeans to work today. Not a bad idea.

Tomorrow is work's golf tournament in the morning and RenFest trip in the afternoon. It's supposed to be cold and rainy. And quiet. The "gang" trip is going to be next week, but for me, since I'm going to be driving right past it anyway ... and have been there in the rain before ... I'm bound and determined. I wouldn't call it a mission, but definitely worth some RenRat XP. Sitting and watching the rain is something I haven't taken the time to do in a while. It can be very calming. That's something else I haven't done in a while.

Monday is the Dead Can Dance concert at Strathmore. It's also Columbus Day, so DC traffic will be lighter due to all the federal workers with the day off. I've also privately stepped up my singing in the car. Certain songs I'm now singing sans radio, and notice that some work better for my voice than others. They sound a little different a capella. I've also learned to hear the difference when I've got a cold or allergy issues.

Beyond Monday ... is ... stuff. Anniversary next week. Et cetera. In the meantime, I'm getting pulled a few work discussions. Time to exercise my expertise.
