Jun. 25th, 2002

Spent the weekend in Raleigh, NC.
Wished the babe's aunt a happy birthday. (Saturday)
Wished her grandfather a happy birthday. (July 18th or so, but we were there to do it in person)
Helped bring both of them a better mood.
Saw Minority Report, which is a darn good flick and still manages to keep the POINT of the story. For the most part. Well enough for me.

Thought about: In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Flew Southwest, who have a new boarding policy. You can check your bags in whenever, but starting 90 minutes before the flight they start handing out the boarding passes and numbers. 1-30 are in Group A, and board first, then 31-60, then 61-90. So, if you're in a real rush for a seat, you just need to be at the front of the line to get passes. If you're not in so much of a hurry, you can be leisurely about it and avoid the worst of the crowd. Plus, the line never gets to 90. 3 shorter lines makes it feel not so bad, even if the wait's just as long.

Not counting work, this is my lull week. Not a lot of scheduled stuff, which means that unscheduled stuff I've been stalling on can be taken care of. Starting June 30th, the whirlwind begins, though.

And ... I don't check my voice mail very much. And it turns out I had someone call my OFFICE PHONE and say they had a JOB OPENING in Towson, near my apartment. Did I mention I usually check my voice mail by speakerphone? THAT was awkward. I'm not getting my hopes up because he called over a week ago, but maybe, just maybe ...
