Tired. Wednesday was a lot of running around followed by assembling a queen-size bed, a wooden hat/coat rack, and a bedside table, all from Ikea. Clicky the links for pictures. I'd have assembled a second of the same kind of bedside table, but one piece was mis-cut and it was well after midnight. Throw in a TV cabinet next Thursday and the furniture part of our room renovation is done.

I will need to get some help to really finish off the room, though. Here are some of the other issues that need to be dealt with.
  1. Get the replacement Ikea part
  2. Finish assembling the 2nd table
  3. Move the switch for the walk-in closet around to the other side of the wall
  4. Cut off a phone jack to the baby's room
  5. Pull out the current upstairs cable run to the baby's room
  6. Run a new cable line across the drop ceiling to a new jack on the wall in our room

There may be a fair amount of updating going on.

This being Easter weekend, I'm not sure how much time any of us will have available. Sunday night I have Easter dinner with the family. Are you coming to dinner tonight? I'll bring your guitar.

Yeah, always willing to help. MOving switches and stuff is no problem.

PS. Make it a Diet Pepsi.

Cool. It doesn't seem like anything major, but it is a lot of little holes in the drywall. I'll need to invest in some spackle and maybe dig up some paint.

Ha, that's funny! We're been looking at that same bedroom set for a while - considering it if we decide to upgrade to a king-size mattress!

Creepy. Then we'd have the same CD towers AND bedroom set!

Good taste is good taste
Well be forewarned, that bed is the one that used to be under the Hemnes label but is now Lehksvik. Even Ikea isn't completely up to speed on that change yet. The signs said Lehksvik but the boxes still said Hemnes. And they still had the current Lehksvik bed with the scroll action. I guess they'll sort it out.
