Where do I bank? WTFCU!

I just saw one of their ads today, and I have to admit, I think I want to open an account at WTFCU. Don't think I qualify, but still.

In other news, tonight is Starsailor at the 9:30 Club. My wife found the band before I did, and even then it took me a while to give their CDs a good listen but I'm glad I did. I've noted some of their songs here before, like when I finished Metal Gear Solid 3 and was surprised to find the ending credits was Starsailor's Way To Fall. Their musicianship is excellent, but they are still subject to the Live effect. Over-repetition of lyrics all too often. A chorus is a chorus, but verses need at least some distinguishing marks. I don't have any of their CDs with me today, but I can sing enough of their tunes on my own that I'll still be hearing Starsailor before the concert. =)

Finally, there is no joy in Mudville, the mighty Casey struck out last night. DC is not a terribly happy place to be today, but we Ravens-fan commuters are still in decent spirits, carrying an attitude best described as a combination of joie de vivre and sucks to be you.

I believe you do qualify
According to the website, anyone who works, lives, recreates, or whatever in the District of Columbia qualifies for membership. And since you work in DC, I believe your wife also qualifies. It's just like the APLFCU that Jen and I belong to. Let me tell you, I'd never have gotten the good loan deals that I did for my car were I not a member.

Re: I believe you do qualify
Really? I'll have to investigate further then. I've got some retirement funds I'm going to be forced to roll-over anyway, so why not. I didn't expect it to be actually workable.

That's interesting about Starsailor, because I just randomly and accidentally downloaded a remix that had Starsailor listed in the title. I don't know if it's actually them in the song, but it was really random because I hadn't seen/heard of them before, and then you mention them too!
What does WTF mean in this case? It makes me smile...:)

If you tell me the title, I can tell you if it's really Starsailor. This current month-long North American tour is in support of their third album and I've got all three. And the third definitely rocks.

In this case, it's actually the Washington Telephone Federal Credit Union. I prefer WTFCU! They've even got a big sign on their login page. Any bank that can get away with putting WTFCU in huge letters outside their branches has earned a little of my money. But I'm easily amused. =)
