Back from a concert, and I give them much credit, The Duhks kick serious butt. From slow to fast and everything in between, they had a little of everything in their set and in their sound. There was folk, gospel, rock, country, celtic ... a whole mix of sounds, all provided by a singer, a fiddler, a guitar player, a banjoist, and a drummer.

And they did a great version of my favorite song of theirs, "Death Came A-Knockin'". Even though I owned no Duhks music (before tonight) I could sing that one from just three listens on the radio. Actually, the first time I heard it I thought it might be the Indigo Girls. I was corrected by the DJ after hearing the tune (this was a week or two ago), which made me even happier to go to this show. But Jessie's voice does occasionally remind me of Amy Ray. She does have her own style, but there were moments that definitely sounded like that.

So ... tomorrow is Glen in Vienna. And work. And more writing.

PS: That Sly Cooper PS2 game is fun and way too addicting. It definitely works well with the cel-shaded graphics style.
