Moody Blues + more music

Yes, I saw the "Knights in White Satin" themselves. =) My dad's birthday is earlier this week and Father's Day is this coming weekend ... the stars (and tour dates) just aligned perfectly for it. So the babe and I took my parents. And two friends of ours brought a pair of their parents. We even ended up with front row lawn seating at the Pier Six Pavilion. The storms even veered around us, as we got a very exciting lightning show behind us in the southern sky.

They played my favorite song of theirs! "The Other Side of Life". Having been around for so long, they had a long discography to pull from and did a good mix of tunes, including one from their new album, "December". It was a good show, and the flute player (non-original member) was really good, too. Yay for good music! Tonight I go to see Glen Phillips (yet again) and Five For Fighting at the 9:30 Club. Yay for Glen! Hopeful yay for 54F!

*jealous* I don't even know who Glen Phillips and Five for Fighting are, but I'd give my left arm to see the Moodies. I wish I'd a) known they were coming and b) had money. :(

Happy rollerblading.

Glen P. <- lead singer of Toad the Wet Sprocket
Five for Fighting <- did that "It's not easy to be me" Superman song, band with a lot of piano and a singer who sings kinda high-pitched for a guy.
Moody Blues <- quite good, as you already know =D
